#52tagshannemade 48

Friday, December 31, 2021

[I am following Anne Brooke‘s 2021 #52tagshannemade slow stitch challenge to make a little tag every week of the year – see them all here!] We came again to another week divisible by four, so this time the challenge was simply to use the sheaf stitch as a fill stitch.

Not much to say here, just some perl cotton sheaf stitching on a lovely little piece of tweed.

I got my booster shot this week! I’m doing my part to be a part of the solution, rather than the problem. All the people spouting political, anti-science, anti-academic, conspiracy theory bullshit, and anti-humanity rhetoric need to STFU. If that describes you, then check yourself, get over yourself, and get vaccinated. Humans everywhere will thank you. (That’s probably the strongest statement you’ve seen from me on this blog in its total lifetime, I am aware. Some hills are worth the battle.)

Even though this is the last tag post for 2021, I did complete the challenge on time and the rest are still queued for publishing. Enjoy the New Year! 😀

I am trying to begin slow stitch. Found out my sister is doing this-
I mention this because we texted for the first time in 5 or 6 years.
Want to show her I can do this.

Hi Jane! That’s wonderful, I hope you enjoy learning it – it’s all about the process, not the final piece!
