Cruise 2025

Tuesday, March 3, 2026

I experienced my first (and last) cruise at the behest of my in-laws. It was an unfortunate timing, being in the end trails of Hurricane Erin, so the weather wasn’t great to start. I had also repeatedly turned down cruise invites in the past, suspecting they weren’t my jam (i know thyself!). I went as an anthropologist to understand the boat life, and I think I did learn something there. That, and the good company, means at least there’s no regrets;)

I carved out plenty of time to add to the journal, and I think I’m finding a style here maybe. How much to capture or how much to include on a page. I also brought along a glue stick to see if I’d want to do a little bit of mini-scrapping. I really only had the art gallery magazine to work with, but I think I would do that again.

This finished up my first travel journal, but I had one more trip planned for the year that was out of the ordinary so I attempted something with that in volume 2. Stay tuned!
