Meet CaLynn

2009: January 1

Demographically, I am a midwestern girl born in 1981. I tend to be pretty open minded except for when it comes to close minded people. Personally, I am an introvert and (mostly) easy going. My home life includes a significant other (who prefers to only be known as Boy), two darling javanese cats, Maya and Sasha, and a roommate, Chris/Tofer. As far as career goes, I have a good job at a bank where i dream about doing crafty artsy things and experiencing the world.

When i grow up, i want to be a scientist! Educationally, I am trained as an anthropologist. I like all the sub-fields, but will focus on the biological aspect in grad school (human evolution, osetology, paleopathology, forensic anthropology, etc). I also have an art history background, fine arts training, and i know some french. Oh, and  I purposely choose to not use punctuation or caps when Im speaking as “me”, rather than on a professional level, so get over it:P

Artistically, i like to build things. I wish i could do things in 2D like draw or paint, but i have no talent for that. I took a drawing class and totally wowed myself, but i could never get up to par with the people i admire. I like layouts and color combos in graphic design. I like interior design. I like scrapping. I like to sew things. I like polymer clay. I like collecting materials or other peoples “junk” for later inspirations. (I like to pack-rat supplies…)
